1. Acceptance of these terms
By adding our bot to a Discord server, by using the dashboard, or by otherwise interacting with the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a Discord server or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Kitchen Sink is a Discord community-management platform. It provides, depending on what a server administrator enables: support tickets and transcripts, moderation tooling (cases, warnings, bans, kicks, mutes, appeals), automated moderation (e.g. join-time screening and trap channels), community activity insights, staff management, and related configuration — managed from a web dashboard.
Features may change, be added, or be removed over time. The Service is provided on an ongoing, best-effort basis; we do not guarantee any particular feature, level of availability, or uptime.
3. Eligibility
You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines to use the Service, including Discord's minimum age requirement for your country (13+, or higher where local law requires). The Service is not directed at children below that age.
4. Server administrators’ responsibilities
If you add the bot to a server or configure it, you are responsible for how it is used in that server. In particular, you agree that:
- You have the necessary authority and a lawful basis to use the Service to moderate and manage that server and to process your members' data through it (see the Privacy Policy, which explains the controller / processor relationship).
- You will tell your members, where required, that the Service is in use and how it processes their data.
- You will use moderation, message-logging, and screening features lawfully and proportionately, and not to harass, discriminate against, or unlawfully surveil members.
- You are responsible for your own configuration, including which features and data-retention options you enable.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of Discord's terms;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- Abuse the dashboard or API, including automated scraping or attempts to access servers or data you are not authorised to;
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
6. Your account and access
The dashboard uses Discord to sign you in. You are responsible for your Discord account and for any activity under it on the dashboard. We grant access to a server's settings based on your Discord roles and permissions in that server; we may change or revoke access if those change or if you misuse the Service.
7. Availability, “as is”, and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server. We may suspend or terminate access — to a server or an account — if these terms are breached, if required for security or legal reasons, or if the Service is discontinued. On termination, the handling of any stored data is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have under your local law.
